Outdoor Activities

Our local Parks and Recreation Department maintains an extensive system of trails for hiking and biking as well as many other recreational attractions.

Missoula is home to the Adventure Cycling Association, the nation's premier bicycle travel organization.

Go for a Family Tour of the Lewis & Clark Caverns sponsored by Montana Fish Park and Wildlife. 

Take to the slopes and ski fresh powder from Thanksgiving through April at any of a multitude of Montana Ski Resorts.

Sporting Events

An affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, our hometown minor league baseball team the Missoula Osprey won the League Championship in both 1999 and 2006.

The newest semi-pro team in Missoula, our hometown hockey team the Missoula Maulers advanced to the playoffs in their inaugural season 2007-2008.

Missoula's own semi-pro football team, the Missoula Phoenix play other teams from throughout the Rocky Mountain area.

Our hometown rugby team, the Missoula Maggots host "MaggotFest" every summer.

Missoulians are very proud of our own University of Montana Grizzly Athletics.
