Like many communities, Missoula has evolved into a finite number of very distinctive neighborhoods. They can be defined by the surrounding geography, or by manmade landmarks or by street configuration.  Each of these neighborhoods has its own unique characteristics, whether it be the architecture of the homes, the nearby University of Montana or the river that runs through it.  While you are househunting or just becoming acquainted with Missoula, I thought it would be beneficial to introduce you to these neighborhoods and let you learn a little bit about each one to give you a feel for what makes it unique.  I believe that it is the combination of all these neighborhoods that gives Missoula a cosmopolitan feel.
